This is the ultimate adventure for those of you looking to step at least a toe outside of your comfort zone. Axe throwing is a new popular sport to the United States and is growing with each passing month. Think of darts or bowling with real life sharp axes. You hurl these axes in lanes towards wooden targets and try to hit the bulls eye. There are many games to play once you get the hang of sinking the axe into the wood.
We play regulation league games, tic tac toe, 21, Bullseye, knock out and even yhatzee with our games.

Yes. Throwing axes is similar to other target sports. Participants follow the instructions and safety rules explained by our Axe Masters and use common sense, throwing an axe is safe. Our experienced and highly trained staff are in the throwing arena with you at all times and monitor your throws for safety and guide you through the entire process. Only participants that have gone through our safety briefing and signed a waiver are allowed to enter the throwing arena. This includes people just wanting to watch the axe throwing. There is no passing of axes between players and players must follow specific instructions from their axe master.

Everyone throwing axes and watching will be required to sign the waiver provided. Each new participant will be required to go through a safety briefing with one of our Axe Masters.
Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian sign the waiver for them.
Age: We do not have a age minimum in place. However, we reserve the right to refuse service for anyone not acting mature enough to respect the safety rules. You must be 16+ to throw without a legal guardian present (The parent must sign the waiver) and 18+ years old after 8 pm.
Closed toe shoes are required!
*Special events can have this requirement waived but the party host must insure a 1:5 ratio with all party participants.

You may bring your own drinks and food. You can make it at home or bring it from a store, we don't care but we are usually hungry from throwing axes so plan accordingly. Just kidding, or am I?
We will have light snacks and non alcoholic beverages for purchase nat our front desk. If you want a full meal while you are here we can have food delivered from one of the many local establishments in our Valley Park area. At your cost of course.
Beer and wine are allowed but NO hard alcohol. We would prefer you bring cans or plastic cups if possible since our floor is concrete. We just made your day didn't we? Be safe my friends.

Note: Your time starts once the Axe Master takes you back to the lane. If your party arrives late to your reservation we will try to accommodate assuming no one has the lane right behind your reservation. However, if the lane is booked behind your party you might lose some of your axe throwing time for arriving late.
We recommend your initial session be a 2 hour experience. We will provide everything you need to throw axes. However, closed toe shoes are REQUIRED.
Please arrive to your scheduled time 15-20 minutes prior for your safety briefing and axe throwing technique class.
Rates: $35.00/person for 2 hours OR $20.00/person for 1 Hour.
*Additional hours are $15.00/person based on availability. Taxes and fees will be added at checkout.

- Of course we do! Our facility can hold 48 throwers at a time.
- Some ideas of events that might be fun are: Corporate events, Axe your Ex parties (Divorce Party), Bachelor parties, Bachelorette parties, Birthday parties, Family reunions, and special leagues.
- Discounts for large bookings are based on the numbers of players and start at 13+ players. ($5 off per person)
- Additional discounts are given at 25+ players. ($10 off per person)
- Private parties during off hours have a minimum requirement of 12 paid throwers. You may come with less than 12 but you must pay for 12 throwers minimum.
- We also have mobile targets available for a rental fee.
- Booking the entire facility is also available, for more information call our facility at 573-442-6734.
- Our facility also has a large printer available to make your own custom targets for your lanes. Just bring a digital photo of the subject and we will make the target. (Additional Charges Apply)

- Mandatory 48 hour notice for all cancellations or change in number requests for parties of 12 or less participants.
- Mandatory 72 hour notice for all cancellations and change in number requests on parties 13 or more participants.
If you cancel or change participant numbers with less than the mandatory notice of your scheduled reservation your deposit is subject to forfeit.
This includes changes in your reservation number arriving or choosing to throw.
Before the required notice time of the reservation you can reschedule your event and your deposit will be applied to the new date. Email TheAxeHouseCoMO.@gmail.com for changes to your reservation.

We ask that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to when your booking is reserved for a short safety briefing. This will be followed by instruction by our Axe Masters in basic throwing techniques.
After some practice time, our Axe Masters will show you some fun and competitive games to play!
Last but not least, if our Axe Masters deem the skill level is there you can learn some cool trick shots!

Hero Discounts (EMS, Police, Firefighter, and Military) can be applied by producing ID to the staff. You must ask for this discount while checking in for your reservation.
Private facility rentals and party rentals please email TheAxeHouseCoMO@gmail.com for pricing and availability. Discounts are based on the size of the party and extras requested.
Large parties and events must be booked in advance since they will have a dedicated Axe Master to tailor to their every need.

General Rules are:
1. We are throwing axes, NOT CATCHING THEM!
2. We ask that you stay in the safety areas unless you are actively throwing.
3. One yellow handled axe per target.
4. No one throws anything if someone is in the lane.
5. Axes do not go on counters or to the bathroom. (Yes, we have to say that because it has happened) Which brings us to rule 6.
6. If we have to add a new rule because of you, we will name it after you. That is not a challenge, that is a REAL threat! :)
7. We want everyone to have fun so if there is anything we can do to make your visit more fun please let us know.

We don't care how if you come in Ashland sheek or CoMo Hipster, dress in any style you like. There are a few rules though.
The only mandatory requirement is that you MUST be wearing closed toe shoes. No flip flops or sexy peep toed shoes will be allowed. We might have shoes to rent if you forget but they wont be as cute.
Dress comfortably, extra points if you dress as a lumberjack , viking or firefighter. Shirtless firefighters get extra perks but only if you can pull it off. Be warned!!

Yes, yes we do! Our leagues run 4 times per year in 8 week cycles. Currently, we have two leagues formed.
Our competative World Axe Throwing League is sanctioned. You will compete against players worldwide and have the opportunity to compete in the World championship in December.
We also have a handicap league for those that are just starting out in the sport. The handicap league levels the playing field so all skill levels are welcome.
League fees are $128 which includes WATL perks and 1 hour of practice time per week plus a minimum of 4 matches.(Payment plans possible upon request)

While walk-ins are welcome during normal business hours we can not guarantee that there will be a lane available at the time when you walk in. Reservations are strongly suggested if you would like the throwing time of your choice. The reservation process is simple click the button below to be taken to our 24 hour booking calendar.

We will provide everything you need for a fantastic evening. However, if you have a favorite axe you would like to bring then yes, you can bring your own. The Axe Master will need to approve onsite.
League members may bring their own axe if the head is approximately 1.5 lbs and the handle is no longer than 22 inches.

Our lanes are equipped to hold 6-9 throwers per lane. Currently, our location has 7 lanes. When you book online you will have to tell us how many people are coming for your reservation so we can plan accordingly. That number can change slightly but we require 24 hours notice for cancellations of the entire party or major number attending shifts.
Huge number shifts up on the day of the reservation may not have room during the time slot reserved and huge number shifts down on the day of may be required to pay a late notice cancellation fee of 50% of the cost.

COVID 19 Update:
We understand that this has been a trying time for everyone and we are very eager to get back to serving our community with a safe and fun activity for the entire family.
However, to do our part to keep everyone involved safe we are instituting the following changes to our booking procedure and store policies:
⁃ Due to social distancing regulations still in effect and sanitation policies only 7 groups or 30 people will be allowed to participate in the facility during any given time slot.
⁃ Parties will not, under any circumstances, be combined or will have to share a lane. Each party will be in effect purchasing a private lane for that time slot.
⁃ For the safety of employees and participants reservations will have the option to be paid for in full through the online booking process in advance.
⁃ Walk in groups will not be accepted during this time so that we can ensure proper staffing and social distancing measures. Please reserve online via our 24/7 portal.
⁃ All waivers must be filled out in advance or via a personal cell phone device. Waiver stations in the facility have been removed for sanitation concerns.
⁃ Since availability is severely limited due to State mandates, our cancellation policy will remain in effect requiring 48 hours notice for a cancellation to receive a refund. Only 7 groups or 30 people are allowed to participate at a time so a group not showing up the day of for a spot that could be filled with notice is detrimental. However, we understand emergencies and people getting sick so if something does arrive the day of your reservation we will handle these situations on a case by case basis.
Our Part:
⁃ Our facility will be sanitized every hour to prepare for the next incoming groups and lane usage will alternated to ensure proper sanitation time.
⁃ Axe Masters will maintain 6 feet of distance between the party and themselves for everyone’s safety.
⁃ Axes will be issued to throwers at check in time to ensure proper sanitation measures have been taken.
We understand the concern of reopening our facilities as they are not essential to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. We do not make this decision without thought or care for that situation. However, economically, our Veteran owned and operated local Small Business must open as soon as government mandates are lifted so that we may have a chance of surviving the financial fall out the pandemic has caused. We truly appreciated the love and support everyone has shown and pray that even if you don’t agree with our decision that you can understand our reasoning. We look forward to seeing everyone safe and happy once this is all over.
